I have purchsed the Sealife Reefmaster mini over buying the housing for my Canon S5is ($750). With purchasing a stobe to go with this camera, I am still under the housing cost for my Canon. I am interested to know which of these strobes would be best suited for this camera.
I was looking at the sealife website and they have three tpyes of strobes the SL961, SL960D and the SL960.
I am new to the underwater photo thing and would like to take some photos that will turn out well. I don't plan on winning any photo contests, but would like something that I can show to people.

Here are some examples of the SL960D shot with a Reefmaster Mini in Curacao last month.

I decided to purchase a 960D because it has the adjustable flash output. With some experimentation I am able to get decent photos from a variety of distances. I was concerned that the 960 would be too limiting and the 961 is just overkill for a Mini.

I think Sealife is phasing out the SL960D and replacing it with the SL961D. I had that strobe for a while and it was pretty good. But eventually, school got in the way and it departed me like a wive going away forever. :( Anyways, the SL961D would be the one to go with. :)
