With regard to the battery life of the Perdix, it depends on one's dive times, but I have my Perdix AI set in rec mode, and I got up to around 50 dives before I changed the first battery. Many of those dives were 50-60 minutes, some were 30-40 minute dives assisting classes. I'm now up to 80 dives on the Perdix and have two thirds of life left on the second battery. Most of these last 30 dives on the Perdix are classes.

So I think battery life is just fine on this computer, plus, as previously stated, battery changes are easy.

I only use the Saft lipo battery so I can get quite a lot of dives, even in ice cold Sweden during winter

I have an black Oci w/data cable with 34 dives on it.. Don't wear it as a watch. I don't have a transmitter for it, not really an AI guy. I don't need a computer to tell me how much gas I have left. I would like to trade for or towards a petrel 2 or predix. At 54 my eyes prefer something larger.

Ya I'm 26 but fairly near sighted so with smaller lettering I might need it right up to my face. And most of my dives will be low vis due to living on the w coast. Of fl near the mouth of calusahatchee. Gets pretty gnarly in the summer.
