Not having read the entire thread, I'd still like to chip in. A little while ago (in February), my Area Manage (SSI Benelux) sent all DivePro's in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg an e-mail containing a 38 page document that outlines all skills. I understood from a befriended Instructor Trainer that this document should be the standard for teaching skills (so not only what, but also how), as part of a way of improving skills, not only among students, but also for instructors (and even ITs). SMB Deployment is being mentioned as skill number 30, and as such, should be taught to OW classes. This document has not been put online, but from what I understood, this is something that is to be told from IT, to DCS instructors, Instructors, and other DivePros.
