Good news for you "ham handed" folks out there; while chatting with the Si Tech folks last week at DEMA, they showed me a prototype of a new XL cuff ring about to be put into production. The critter has about 4¼" ID as opposed to the "standard" of about 3½" or so.
They're expecting the new rings to be available in about 6 months, so mark it on your calendars.

This reminds me,

Bob have you seen the new Viking rings, if so how do they compare to say the SiTech and DC Rings.

Si Tech makes the new Viking bayonet rings, I got a set in a couple weeks ago.

The bayonet latch makes the glove attachment exceptionally secure, there's practically no way a glove can pop off unintentionally even under the worst of conditions.
It's also easily latched & unlatched with 1 hand.
The new XL rings will be the same as the Si Tech "Quick Cuff".

One of the drawbacks of the Si Tech rings is it takes a different cuff depending on whether you want to use them with your existing cemented on seals, or mount them permanently on the suit. The old Viking and many others work either way, so you can try out the rings for a while with your existing seals, then permanently install them of you are satisfied with how they work.

The new Viking bayonet rings take this a step further - they can be cemented on to the suit, used over the existing, cemented on wrist seals - or snapped into the old Viking vulcanized rubber glove rings!

Definately interesting.
