its good becuase it puts less stress on the hoses becuase the swivle allows them to rest in a comfertable non straining position. But, it is bad becuase it is another o-ring you need to worry about.
 
Snipes is correct, however usually if you pay attention to the hose routings you can get that issue squared away with no stress or problems with hoses, and then you don't need to worry about the oring problems common with swivel head first stages.
