I need a rubber boot to protect a gauge. The gauge is 2 1/2 inches in diameter and 1 1/8 inch thick. This is not an spg, it is an original Dacor IP gauge that I value and I am trying to prolong it's life as I get clumsier[ is that a word?] in my later life

Get a rubber pipe cap, remove the SS clamp, drill a hole in the cap for the gauge stem, Use the rubber to protect the glass face (travel mode) then flip it over when you want to use the gauge (use mode).
The 2" cap actually has an id of 2 1/2".
