I can't help that I like to recomend "The Best" to people

LOL, please tell us your extensive experience with the various manufacturers of BP/Ws.

I have (at least) a dozen dives on singles rigs by Halcyon, DiveRite, OxyCheq, and DSS (plus a couple on a OMS set up).

For singles, hands down, my preferred set up was the DSS: wonderful finish (absolutely no burrs), flat plate means the cylinder rests closer to my back, optional weight plates (love these), nice hardware (especially the heavy duty buckle), nice stiff webbing, great wings that mount as securely as with an STA, but don't require an STA (makes washing, storage, and transport all easier).

OP: Beware of confusing "best" and "most expensive." In this regard, there are big differences.

(I'm a big DSS fan, BTW.)

As Tobin pointed out this is a DSS thread and so you should not mention other manufactures in here or else he may tell you you're also lacking "Class".

"The Best" in your opinion!

I bought "THE BEST" (caps on purpose) in my opinion and have a BP/W setup with some original design differences in the backplate that work really well.

Just cause my DSS gear doesn't have blue h's all over it doesn't matter - I'm not a label kinda guy! :stirpot:

No other posters in this thread are promoting other manufacturers. They certainly don't need a reminder from you about class.

I'm sure you are happy with your choice in BP&W, but that doesn't give you license to spew in my forum.

If you were a little less trigger happy and learned to read the threads and notice the forum you are about to post in you could avoid such errors in the future.

Think about dialing it back a bit, if you want to have any creditability.

A sample from just the last month of your "promo" posts.

Promoting a Halcyon BP&W in a thread where the OP is asking about how to use a DPV with a conventional BC

and another

and another, here you suggest pony users will benefit from a BP&W

http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/5203015-post17.html

and another

http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/5192009-post3.html

yet another, at least here the OP expressed interest in a BP&W

There is a "I'm sick of hearing about BP&W" contingent on SB. Folks like you give them a legitimate argument.

My advice is to turn down the volume and think before you post.

Well Im glad to here bussiness is that bad for you that you enough time to keep track of what I am doing. Shouldn't be afraid of little competiton. And also in my threads of Mentioning Halcyon I also recomded others such as Diverite,OMS and a better value IMO would be to purchase a HOG system. Shouldn't be Mad that others dont promote your gear and it seems all the crap I have heard talked about you and your reputation seems to be true..

And for Jacket post if you yourself would have taken a minute to read it.

My fiance is still looking for a BCD and she hasn't quite decided on what type to get. I'm trying to look into the future on where we want to go

With that being said they are not specifically looking at a Jacket BCD. They were looking and Say what you want in a Jacket BCD you will at some point become limited in your diving. IMO if you are looking for something that will grow with you as your diving does a BPW is the way to go as they will be able to be used in about any diving you do. Cave/wreck/doubles/singles/recreation/rebreathers. and if thats what your looking to do or unsure I would think its the decision to make and will cost less in the long run.

*Sigh*

I see you are determined to be "that guy"

We all know a few, sad really.

"That guy" who has to rudely interrupt the MiniCooper Enthusiasts having a friendly discussion about the Clubman vs a Hardtop to tell them they need to buy a Miata, cuz they just bought one and they are the "Best"

This sort of thing does nothing to improve the image for Mazda, BTW.

Have at it, but please keep it out of the DSS forum.
