I think that (other than it wearing out) if it no longer keeps you warm at the same temps that it once did
 
when I have the extra money and there is a new design (feature) that I like; then it is the time for a new suit (or any dive gear for that matter :D)
 
Agree completely. Currently looking at the Henderson Superstretch. My XXl still looks new but requires help to zip it up. It's either lose weight or buy a new one....

Nevermind, I'll just buy the new one....:rofl3:
 
I'll let you know when I figure it out... this one is still good, at least during summer and fall.

keep your old suit for spare and buy a dry suit when there is a sale...
 
It's time for a new suit when the old one smells like #1 and looks like #2.
