Wish I could find out more about the quality of the neoprene each manufacturer uses so I could make an intelligent purchase for my next one.

This is from the Wetware site .. they have very good info on types of wetsuit materials and why Rubatex is more costly, but superior ... Wetwear - Why we only use Rubatex

looks to be almost indestructible .. You can ask Pete (NetDoc) about his.
if I do get another 7mm wetsuit (drysuit now) it will be one of theirs

In all seriousness, that's a good question.

I generally replace a wetsuit when I can no longer patch it to my satisfaction, or I think it's just finally given up its stretchability and it's ability to trap the water adequately.
