I will be in the area at the last Sunday of August and would love to dive the springs. Not in the cave of course. Do they allow solo divers?

always lots of divers and groups there though so finding a buddy or group to tag with shouldn't present much of an issue

Cave Divers are allowed Solo, but not OW.
However if you tell them you are meeting other divers, they generally don't hassle you. On the other hand, look around, ask around, It's a great way to meet people.
