I have the edition 1 of Solo Diving The Art of Underwater Self-sufficiency.

Is Solo Diving, 2nd Edition any better and worth the purchase?

I'm not sure if there is any real difference since I've never seen the first edition. But if you go to overstock.com where my fiance got my copy ot can be found for about 10 bucks. I've been through it several times and even though I do not agree with all of it(somewhat conservative for my diving habits and style) it's a good read. I would nave liked to have seen more technical info and less opinions. More on gear configurations would be nice but as a solo diver some of my gear is configured for me and me alone when I dive without a buddy so maybe that's why he did not spend much time on it.

This book was pretty much worthless in my opinion. The best/most informative part of the book are the excerpts/opinions solicited by industry pros.
