Spring Break at Cancun

Ok so I am going to cancun for spring break with three of my friends who are all non-divers. I clearly can't go to the caribbean and be so close to great diving and not going on any dives (especially since the rest of my family will be in cozumel right before I go). I am thinking that I can do morning dives and then still have time to spend most of the day with my friends cause I don't really want to just kinda ditch them.

My real question is what do you think i should do, here are my options:
1 day of diving in cozumel 2 tanks leave at 7 am and get back at 6 pm
or
2 days of diving in cancun so total of 4 dives both leaving at 10 am and getting back at 1pm

maybe a third possiblity of finding a dive op that takes divers and snorkelrs on the same boat and so my friends could come and snorkel and i would dive.

I am going to be there from April 1st to the 8th

I like the diving in Cancun, there are a couple of wrecks that are some great dives.
Punta Nizuc is the start of the worlds second largest reef, it is a great snorkeling area.
It is located down on the south end of the strip off of Club Med, watch out for the topless sunbathers.

3 and 2 years ago, my dive buddy, with our wives, stayed at Moon Palace which is further south than the hotel zone. We did local diving in Puerto Morelos and then some diving in Cozumel. It is possible to catch the ferry from PDC, do 2 morning dives, catch the next ferry back and be back to the hotel early afternoon. Last year and this, we're staying closer to PDC so we can do a little more diving on Coz.

Thanks for all of the responses. I will be sure to check out the snorkeling over by club med, especially for the sunbathers . I think I'm going to end up doing the 2 trips in the mornings in cancun and then probably a third trip while my buddies snorkel. As for talking to ben, I am already on it haha. He responded very quickly to my request and i am working out my schedule with him.

Also, you may want to get one of those combination snorkel/periscope hybrids for Club Med snorkeling....

Our timeshare is Club Regina, next to Club Med. This would be the best way to get to their beach through Regina's lobby. Club Med is pretty security patroled, walk down at the waters edge, again watch out for them sunbathers.
