Submarine Products Super Sealion

Hi there,

Anyone have any experience restoring and diving a Submarine Products Super Sealion?

I've found one, no label, lightly scratched chrome, hoses perished, internal condition unknown.

What would the value be, and difficulty of getting to diving condition?

the super sealion reg was the third reg produced in the late sixtys by S. P.Ltd. the clamp which holds the two halves together is plastic also the half that would in the reg you have is a flat surface the 1st and2nd regs had a large hole in the centre the makers claimed to assist in clearing water from the narrow dia. hoses. dismantal of the hp single stage can pose problems due to the fact the manufactures glued in the hp location to the reg body however the unit is fairly straight forward .some parts are available here in the uk could find set of hoses with mouthpiece have exploded diagrams for all the S.P.Range hope that gives help regards reg bj

During the 1960s, the now defunct company Submarine Products operated in Hexham, not far from where I live in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England.
