hi all Seasons Greetings
I have a Suunto Cobra ( Old 3 button type ) & it is in alarm mode sounding 5 beeps & showing Er which. Assume is an error mode. I have soaked & flushed it with fresh water but cannot turn the alarm off.
Any ideas or solutions would be appreciated.

The first obvious thing to look at is whether or not it has flooded. Take it to a dealer and have them check it out and maybe replace the battery. My first instinct would be to replace the battery.

If the shop can't fix the problem then it will need to be sent back to Suunto.

Incidentally, the only time I've ever seen a Suunto computer beep and display ER on the screen was when the computer skipped some deco stops. (note: *I* did not skip stops but I had along a second computer that wasn't suited for mixed gas as an experiment to get familiar with the effects of Suunto's conservatism modes and the computer skipped about 20 minutes of stops.... it's a long story).

Given the above, you might have what we call a "self diver", which is a computer that doesn't return to surface mode properly. This can indicate a faulty pressure transducer which is a very common problem with Suunto computers.
