I'm a Fish!
I recently recovered a hoard of my old diving gear from my parents (when are you getting those bags of junk out of our attic!)

Opening up my boat box I found my old suunto companion.
I took it out to have a look, thinking that if I can get a battery for it it might still work.
I touched the contacts, and lo and behold, it's still running!
It doesn't even have a low battery warning!
It's been in that box for at least 15 years.
That's why I love suunto gear.
The algorithms may be a little conservative for some, but the hardware lasts and lasts..

The Suunto Companion dates to the mid '90's. You would probably have better luck on information if you ask questions about it in the computers forum. Battery can be found on ebay.

I purchased a package of old dive gear and there was one of these in the box. I just knew the batteries were dead. I didnt know how to turn it on but I threw it in a sink full of water and it came right on lol. They must be tough units.
