Hey all, here is a really handy post Marvel made in another thread:

Marvel chiming in as requested.... :D

Since you are planning to beach dive this is, IMHO, going to be the best spot for you to stay- LBTS diving is great (as you already know, MissD).

For starters, here's a link to the LBTS hotel web site. I would suggest that you choose a place below Commercial so that you can dive off Datura or my side yard- Hibiscus. Anything below 4400 El Mar Drive will get you there. Even numbers are on the beach, odd numbers accross the street. If you are not really concerned about having a swimming pool & want to save money, I would reccommend the Sea Echo- right across the street from my house. Betty is very nice & the place is most definitely diver friendly. There's a grill & big old shade tree to sit under post dive. Lot's of resaurants within walking distance of these hotels, BTW.

Next door to me is the Costa Del Sol, a time share that rents by the night also. Pool & such with the added bonus of being able to walk right out onto the sand & into the water. On Datura (beachside) there is the Windjammer to stay in. There are showers at every portal but there are no public restrooms. We've got a pretty nice beach that's also good for swimming, sunning & snorkling. I can lend some beach chairs to y'all if you need them.

Hope that helps- looking forward to seeing y'all! /END QUOTE

This is a very nice/quaint area. I've been many, many times. As Marvel said, if we choose one of these places to stay, we can walk to restaurants and things. Essentially, once we get there and park, we are set 'til the next day when we head to our charter. :)

Gettin close, don't forget:wink:

Lets get a count on who's in on this again. That way we can see if we are going out w/Kev or on the loggerHead.

RealJet you still interested?

Looks like we might be going out on the loggerhead after all. Well at least there is no limit on how many can go now. Anybody interested post up, once i get an accurate # of peeps I'll see what kind of group rate we can get.

I'd like to do this! Let me know if there is room on the boat!

Please confirm as quick at possible, I need to get that Friday off! I dont think it's a problem though, it's all good.
