Its close to $70 for hydro, VE, VIP, and an air fill here on a 6351 tank.

Which is a valid reason for me to take my 6351 tanks out of service also, over the years, I had changed to larger steel tanks and they were just around in case I needed a couple of extra tanks. If they were the only tanks I owned, it would have been cheaper to keep and service them than buy new, since about half the cost you cite is the hydro, which is done on five year intervals.

As far as fills, your shop, your rules. I’ll believe DOT.

It looked to me like the discussion was about a 2250 psi steel tank. I got $6 - 7 a few weeks ago for a scrap aluminum tank .

Well this Scubaboard after all where the discussion drifts.
