If you intend to leave the connection, you should discuss with Richard Barstow having it included on the site map and identified with DO NOT REMOVE comment. I believe the chain is a good idea to a depth that most recreational divers will not venture.

Just my opinion.
 
Or you could just remove your SM tanks, clip the tails together, put one on either side of the railing, and not have to worry about leaving something behind during your dive.

What I use is temporary, just slap it on there then remove it when I leave, never had an issue until now
