I see that the Session 5 is only water resistant to 33ft, so you would definitely need the waterproof housing if you plan to take it diving with you.

This reminds me, I need to get a housing for my Hero5. I've taken it down to 80ft which is well beyond it's rating and it's survived. Don't want to push my luck any further. LoL
