Finally, the odd un-indentifiable creature who had us all entrhralled--it wriggled, it pulsed, it grew and shrunk......I'm just glad it was only the size of my little finger:

whoops, I just realized I posted the same pic twice instead of a different pic. Though it looks pretty darn similar to what trigfunctions called a lug worm (that's a nasty link...glad I wasn't eating at the time.)
Anyway, here's the other:

This looks like a juvenile eel.
 
It pulsated, and gurgled, twisting and throwing it's innards through it's tubeous body, whithering and extending as it had way too much motion for the little bit of forward movement. Repulsive looking thing, yet, because it was so odd, was hard to swim away..
 
Seems KBeck got the interesting shots this past weekend.
