Yeah, American-English is pretty hard to understand to an outsider. Real Italian - not textbook Italian - is like that too. Confusing...

You recite at a play, and play at a recital.
You rehearse for a recital, and recite at rehersal.
I know a lot more, I just can't think of them right now..
