the wind is back so they closed the port. some boats did get out though, we were set to jump on the anna marie II which was all of 10 feet away from the dock when the captian waived off and headed out taking on quite a bit of water in the process. Sand dollar told us to stick around and maybe thier big boat was going out still as thier boat is over 30'. But after the wait it seems we are going to criuse the east side and find some flat water for snorkeling. fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I'm hoping it opens for my last dive this afternoon! At least it's very sunny and hot. Just windy.

Call Memo/Aldora again (In Cozumel 011-52-987-872-3397)... Maybe the 40 ft. Felicity will go out in the afternoon?
I'm sure East Side trip already left (if they were going).
Have a good trip back Kevin. Enjoyed your posts!

Bummer for you guys. We missed one day of diving last week because of the north winds, but enjoyed the 5 days we were able to dive. Now back stateside and planning the next trip to Coz.

Hate to hear that as it is really frustrating to be that close and unable to dive. :depressed:

We, too, lost out on our last day of diving due to the wind today. Oh well, we had a great trip and of course we'll be back. East side snorkeling sounds like a great idea!

Port closed for good today, we were able to get our 37' out early, but after the 1st dive the topside conditions were just too rough to continue so we called the boat in. Soon after that the port closed. This WNW wind is the worst as there's no shelter or relief, all sites are really rough with crazy wave action, re-boarding the boat is the main concern. The forecast for tomorrow though is good! And back to normal by Monday.
