So, the story is my fiancee always wanted to SCUBA dive, but due to scaring on her lungs from Chemotherapy 6 years ago, she was told by her doctor outside of an expensive surgery, she will never be able to dive due to air getting trapped in her scar tissue and causing a reverse block.

So, my question is, what would be a good way to keep her entertained, while I get some peace and quiet underwater? She wouldn't be at all my dives, but she loves the beach so I may end up diving when she is tooling around on the beach.

Other then snorkeling or tanning, what can she do?

Well, there are lots of fun shore excursions at most beach destinations. Zip lines, riding horses in the water, para-sailing, you name it. She doesn't have to be on the actual beach. Ask if she wants to bring along another friend.

Drinking a refreshing adult beverage while enjoying the sun.

getting your tanks refilled :D
planning your next trip
researching dining options for that evening
forming a "scuba widows" club so she can talk to other scuba widows while you and the other husbands dive.

hahaha!!!

actually.. i would say... spa spa spa... and more spa :)
that what my woman does when she goes with me... and of course the rest of the stuff above...

My wife and I do other stuff together when we snowbird. She is a casino person, and I kind of like that as well. We travel to New Orleans. Go out with freinds, play cards, etc. Diving doesn't take that much time. My wife is never with me, as she can go to a closer beach and read, swim, etc. If it's a rare day- long charter dive, she does something else. She need not be with you when you are diving.

um...what does she *like* to do?

My wife is an avid snorkeler and a beach person, and she is usually quite content finding a variety of pursuits while I am diving.

For my part, even though I love to dive, I do not let it monopolize my time. Two tank morning dives are usually my limit, with an occasional night dive thrown in. The rest of the time I am very much willing to do together what she wants to do.

Clean the boat, Polish the brass and get supper cooked for you... Then there is always the laundry to do....
