I'd like to hit both Thunder Bay and the Straights next summer. Can you guys give some charter advice? :)

Monrovia and D.R. Hanna would be two on my list in Alpena. Anyone dove the Cedarville in the straights?

Thunder Bay - RJ Dives http://www.rjdives.com/ Great diving that can be very dependent on the weather. Goes for all the Great Lakes but diving from Alpena can be broken down between the wrecks in the Bay and the wrecks outside the Bay. If you go, I'd safe time to visit the newly opened Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center

The Straits - Straits SCUBA http://www.straitsscuba.com/ The Cedarville is typically on a charter's schedule unless you are with a group that has been there many times and has a preset destination other than the Cedarville. She's big, metal and twisted. Dangerous and tricky to penetrate if you don't have the experience and training given her orientation. Can easily get to the crane and chart room. You'll probably get better info on her from someone other than from me given I'm a self proclaimed 'Schooner Snob!'. :D
