My point being: only use a longer hose if you extend the inflator tube with it. Otherwise, Tobin has it configured the way it needs to be out-of-the-box.

If I'm wrong then Tobin will correct me :D I just received from him a doubles wing and it has the original shorter length. I'll try it that way for a while and see if I like it that way.

You are quite correct, the corrugated inflator hose and the LP hose should be of compatible lengths.

Predicting the "proper" length LP hose is a bit of a gamble for a dive gear manufacturer as tank position and regulator hose routing can both impact the "ideal" length.

Our standard corrugated hoses for singles wings is 13" with an 18 inch LP hose

For doubles the corrugated hose is 16", and the LP hose remains 18 inch because of hose routing considerations for doubles.
