I have a reputation for asking the kind of questions that no one else likes to ask. So with that I’d like to throw this one out to you. Are there any members of the board who dive with false teeth. ( Either complete set or partial plate ). If so, do you experience any difficulties from this ? Removing are replacing your regulator at depth ? Buddy breathing ? Jaw fatigue ? Are there any squeezes ?? If I don’t asked I’ll never know J

Actualy this is a very good question.

I do not have dentures or bridges or anything like that but I do definately lack most of my back teeth. Therefore it was nearly impossible for me to use the typical mouth piece on the regulator. (You have to bite down on it with your back and side teeth.)

I had to change to the "Comfo-bite" mouth pieces which primarily rest up against the front teeth.

So, the question deffinately comes up...when I lose those front teeth, what are my options going to be?

.......but I heard of a diver losing his dentures and not finding them. It got me to thinking.
It seems that a Sea-Cure mouthpiece could be molded to the gums rather than the teeth.
I've never heard of anyone doing this though.

I just so happened to have found a set of upper plates in Coz awhile back.

I still have them on my shelves of "Stuff I Have Found"

Sure felt strange picking them up and wondering about the rest.

No, the teeth I have are my own, but I did hear some stories on this subject while diving with an older lady in Florida. It seems that it is possible for them to come out with your regulator.
