Hi. We are traveling to Curacao in June. Will be staying in Sunscape resort and diving with Ocean Encounters - PADI shop in the hotel. The resort has home reef - planning to make few dives there including night dive. Also planning to take 2-3 boat dives.
Anybody been there, have any comments, info on hotel and dive operator?
Thanks

We stayed at Lion's Dive in Jan and is right next to Sunscape. The beach in front of both is nice with a breakwater in front so it provides a nice swim area. Try the bar on the beach over at Lion's Dive. Did not dive with Ocean encounters but heard nothing but good things about them. We checked out their shop and boats and it looked top notch. Did not shore dive there either and did not see what the entrance area looked like as Sunscape. At Lion's Dive you enter at a boat channel and it looked a bit tricky. Enjoy.

Just returned last night from one week of diving in Curacao, nice diving but have to be careful of gear being stole if you are doing shore dives. Directors Bay, Tug Boat & Superior Producer sites are well known for break ins into trucks. I suggest to go to west Side Westpunt for best diving.

Dear Mike... the whole section of reef from Lions Dive to Sunscape is quite beautiful and Ocean Encounters is a top rated boat diving operation.

The 3 different dive sites you will have access for shore diving are:

Stella Maris (house reef of Lions Dive - East of Sunscape)
Oswaldo's Drop Off (shallow house reef at Sunscape)
Car Pile (deep dive & also house reef at Sunscape)

@cardzard or @The Chairman would be able to give you feedback from the Hotel as they have booked Sunscape for Surge 2019 and using Ocean Encounters as their operator!

Hope this helps... if you have any questions, do not hesitate to send me a message.

See you next month!!

Regards and dive safe!

Bryan

One more question guys, can we do night dives on home reefs at Sunscape? Thanks
