For anyone who is interested, the dive store in Chatham, ON is going to have our 3rd annual u/w pumpkin carving challenge in Sarnia this coming Sunday (Oct. 26th) starting at noon. We plan on meeting at the Sydney Smith/government docks which is at the end of Harbour Rd (PM if you need more specific directions). Everyone and anyone is welcome, and no worries if you don't have a buddy since there will be lots of experienced divers that will be happy to partner up. Dive site is in about 20' and should be in the high 50's

The rules:
1) Its a go, rain or shine - so far looks like the vis might be respectable (according to the weather man) which would be a first for us
2) Bring your own pumpkin
3) Bring your own tools
4) All cutting must be done u/w (including removing the seeds and other goo).
5) No drawing on the pumpkin before going underwater (all freehand cutting unless you can find a loophole in the rules)
6) No purposely interferring with other buddy teams (if we have a large turnout then we will take turns going in)
7) Trashtalking - it is encouraged :D
8) Prizes for "Best in Show" and "What did you do to that poor pumpkin" besides the prizes there is also bragging rights.

Non-divers are welcome to come out as well to act as judges.
