Underwater case for Canon a700??

Hi, just registered with the site.
I recently bought a Canon a700. Just assumed there was an underwater case for it. Called Canon and they said they have one for the a710, but not the a700. Now they are nearly identical in size (2-3mm difference) and the buttons are exactly the same and I figure they just want me to buy a new camera instead of telling me that yes it is compatible.

Does anyone know if the a700 will fit in the WP-DC6 case?
I've found only one website that says it will work for the a700, but most sites say it is for the a710.

according to digideep.com (an underwater housing finder site), only Ikelite makes a case for the A700.

The only way to find out whether it'll fit in the other case is to borrow one and try.
