I figured a few of you may be interested in going technical trimix this fall, traditionally a time when dive industry work can be slow and weather temperamental so Utila Dive Centre in the Caribbean is offering DSAT Tec Deep and Trimix classes, also IANTD programs up to Technical Diver.
Between November this fall and February 03 the Utila Dive Centre will be running regular scheduled DSAT Tec Deep, Trimix courses and IANTD Technical Diver from diver level to Instructor.
The full DSAT Tec Deep and IANTD Technical Diver course takes approximatley 8-10 days to complete and includes accommodation. This is a full deep air technical diver course that trains the diver to plan and execute dives to a depth of 50mt/165ft using up to 100% O2 for decompression.
The DSAT Trimix course takes 5-6 days to complete and includes accommodation. This is a full hypoxic certification course and the course depth limit is 75mt/245ft.
Utila is the smallest of the Bay Islands of Honduras and has warm clear waters, sheer drop offs, whalesharks and conditions that make the 2 hour flight from Miami a great winter alternative. An extremely affordable Caribbean dive destination that offers great value for diving and inclusive dive packages.
There are regular scheduled flights available with American Airlines and Continental that go daily between Miami and Houston down into Honduras.
There are prerequisites for the program which can also be met prior to starting the course.
