I bought a GoPro Hero 5 and shot video on my last dive trip. I loved it. While I definitely need to improve my videography and editing skills, I feel like a better camera could be useful. I am looking for suggestions on what camera to upgrade to. Size, weight, and costs are always a factor, but I don't even know where to begin. My GoPro with dive housing was less than $400. What does it take to get to the next step up in quality? Does anything under $2000 represent an improvement? If not, what would?

What specific camera/housing suggestions do you have? I am only interested in underwater video. I am focusing on wide angle, shallow water reef video without lights.
