A Ratio Decompression Class will be held in the Metro-Detroit area on Saturday 13JUN09 at 9am . James Mott is excited to host this class at Sea The World Scuba Center in Farmington Hills and bring out to Michigan, the founder and CEO of UTD, Unified Team Diving, Andrew Georgitsis to teach this amazing class.

This class is designed to help you understand a variety of decompression models, their pros and cons and where they fit into your diving. The Ratio Deco course will help you develop a complete strategy to implement into your diving. It utilizes the best in todays theories so you can custom build your decompression.

Shallow recreational dives and deep technical dives all require the diver to ascend and thus decompress. Just crossing your fingers and hoping that your computer does not beep leaves too many questions unanswered. The Ratio Deco Class lets you understand what is really going on, in a simple format that you can start using immediately. This is NOT a scientific decompression model, but rather an application of these different decompression models and theories.

This class will start with the history of decompression modeling, Henrys law, Haldanean theory, US Navy, Workman, Buhlmann, as well as additional bubble models including RGBM, VPM and most importantly how we apply these to our own decompression strategy. Instead of waiting for your dive computer to start beeping at you, Ratio Deco lets you understand the overall concept and curve and how to build it. The class ends with different examples and exercises that let you build your own Ratio Deco profiles.

This class is designed to show you how to create a safe and organized decompression plan for all of your dives. The UTD approach is designed to create a thinking diver who is able to adjust their own decompression ascent on the fly, as needed.

This class will run all-day and is $200, plus student fees at UTD (approx $85)

Space is limited, and this class will sell-out. If you are interested please contact James Mott, ASAP.
