well, and especially since apparently the guy was Chinese.

"Polite societies" I got that from a very convincing George Will article I read years ago... It was in reference to within America. For certain we are a very violent culture, relatively speaking.

Here's what strikes me.
The number of people who look for /expect guidance in a situation like this.
You could not get me in "lock-down". You can't lock that place down!
Now..you can tell some sheep to stay put. Or to herd themselves voluntarily into the Superdome,... or stay in the World Trade Center, even though it was on fire
