Everyone seems interested in the Venice weather so I guess I'll add my $.02 worth. MissD's reporting of the forcast is directly from the NOAA marine weather site, and about as accurate as weather forecasting can be. Here are a couple of other sites that I find helpful :

NDBC - Station VENF1
One site is current weather from the Venice Pier (Sharkey's), and it is reporting water temps in the mid to upper 70's range. Anyway it is my opinion, based on current forecast that nite diving friday nite, and saturday morning diving should be pretty good. We have only one high tide and it's an afternoon high, that will help morning through mid day viz. Even thought the wind is going to shift to the southwest saturday and veer to the northwest saturday evening it should have minimal effect on the pre-noon viz. Surge and surf should be light from the south till mid day and increase with the wind shift. These are solely my opinions based on current info, pm me if you have any questions.
