I am a Cooper River SC diver. Here in SC we do not have the colorful "growth" on the teeth like one finds offshore Venice. I dove Venice for the first time this past dive season. The growth is on everything. My orientation was to look for the enamel shine like we do here in SC. I found a few teeth but not many. Moral of the story, one really needs to look for the triangular shape in Venice.

Vinegar may work for cleaning but I was told it HAD to be Apple Cider Vinegar. I put the teeth in it for about 24 hours. It is not a quick process, but it is through and easy.

Below is a photo of my Venice finds. I am always happy to find something but I was not satisfied. I will likely go back for more.
