I've been asking for gift cards for places we NEED things from, such as our usual supermarket, gas stations, etc)

(and very discreetly, we're requesting cash instead, to help pay for the wedding )

If you know where they are going on their honeymoon, maybe you can book an excursion/activity for them. All depends on how much you're willing to spend.
