Hey guys,

Can anyone tell me if the weighted single tank adapter is different to the one supplied the BP/W? I am planning to purchase the Infinity and I am just trying to sort my weighting out before I buy as I would prefer to use the torch mount over the weight pockets and then carry as little as possible on a weightbelt. The Halcyon website states the weighted tank adapter is 6-lb I am assuming its different to the one that comes fitted with the infinity system when you buy it?

Thanks

Rob

APRIL FOOLS!!!!!

No just kidding, serious question... I plan on getting the Infinity now and then buy a new wing to move to twins down the track...

Mix and match all the same stuff.

Yeah I am aware its all universal, I just wondered whether the weighted tank adapter was exactly the same (ie weight) as the one supplied. Is it just a replacement tank adapter in case you damage your existing one or is it a heavier version of the one supplied for those that want to add extra weight to their back?

it is your 'choice' i believe when you order, it does not come standard one way or another. Otherwise it would stick one group (tropical) or another (cold water) with the incorrect kit :)

it is sold 'separately' so that if you started out with doubles or a different (non weighted or something) STA and want to add STA or weighted STA (but it is same weight).

Ok so when I purchase the Infinity system I ask for the heavier tank adapter just like specifying which size backplate and wing size?

The weighted STA is basically a standard STA and block of led that you mount in the standard STA. If you don't need it initially you can purchase it separately later on, but it does cost more so keep that in mind. :)

If you plan on flying in europe don't try to bring the heavy STA as hand luggage, I lost a plane as they where convinced it was some sort of weapon at schipol airport. TSA on the other hand where obviously more familiar with weapons and said it was ok when I passed them.

I have one in front of me now. To the uninitiated I guess it could look like a brick of explosives with two battery studs extending from it.
