I'll be heading to the Bahamas 1st week of June. Stopping in Bimini for 2 days eventually onto Nassau for 4 days. I'm trying to decide if I should bring my 2mm shorty. However, I like to wear a full wetsuit for exposure and protection. I have a 3mm fullsuit; would this be too warm? anyone found the perfect combination/exposure thickness for the area in early June?
advice/suggestions appreciated! THANKS!

I am also headed to the Bahamas 1st week of june, doing a week long liveaboard on black beards cruise boats...I am also debating on a shorty or a fullsuit 3mill..My take is is always better to be warm then cold...

I just got back from a few days with Stuart's Cove. Just about everyone on the boat was in full 3mm or 5mm suits, many in hoods, and several of us were getting chilled. It was mostly overcast, and people weren't warming up all that much during the surface intervals.

You can go to Dive liveaboard Aqua Cat FAQs for what we recommend. A week ago we the temperature was mostly around 78. but down to 75 on some dives. Keep in mine that temperatures can change quickly in the Bahamas due to the shallow banks that heat & cool quickly. This week is supposed to be calm & sunny which heat the water. Last week was breezy & rainy which cooled the water.
