What am I missing here?

    That light has 3 LED emitters. Each emitter has a max output of 1000 lumen. 3000 lumen tops but take into account the losses from driver, reflector, position of emitters recessed into light head etc it would be lucky to get 1500 - 1800 lumens.

    But wait, there's more.

    I bought this light and had issues from the start.
    All though it was very bright it would not turn off or change modes while submerged.
    Shorting through the water column going into a very dim on state.
    It experienced severe pitting and corrosion while submerged - Think dissolving Alka Seltzer tablet.
    Finally the emitters just gave up and the batteries that came with it only lasted through 5 cycles before they were toast.

    I'd stay away from this one.

    It says it is widely used by the military, police force and officers, etc. How can it be not reliable?
