Roatan was "a smack" of firsts for me. My first (and thus far only) time in Roatan was 3 weeks ago. Easily the best diving I've ever experienced... saw my first turtles, crabs, lobsters, spotted eagle rays, shark, jelly fish, and a million other critters that I could never name. Also had my first few experiences being surrounded by schooling fish, saw my first sunset from 40ft under water, made my first attempts at u/w photography, and did my first dive without my wife as my buddy.

I also experienced my first truly zen moment underwater. Felt so in touch with the universe it was magical!

Oh and we met a husband a wife dive team that had just done their certification for their 40th wedding anniversary gift to each other.

One week in Roatan had me seriously considering leaving my cushy bank job behind and becoming a full time dive instructor living in a shack on the beach.

Thanks for reminding me what I started diving for :D:D
