Beef rendang, ikan pepes, lawar (with ayam), pisang goreng... the list goes on. We used to have a pembantu who was a great cook, and I have no idea what most of her dishes were even called.

If anyone goes to Bali, they should also try to search out Balinese food, which is slightly different from Indonesian. Bumbu Bali north of the Nusa Dua hotels is a good spot to have a Balinese feast.

Natto is more like Tempeh.(Indonesian too, right?)

these beans .... much stronger..... but my indonesian friends love them and next day, you can tell if they had them for dinner!
