What scuba diving goals did you accomplish in 2007?

I made great strides in my air consumption/bottom time and was able to stay with the group for the entire dives while in Roatan.

2008
Taking a liveaboard trip in 11 days where my 1st dive will be #50 and I'm taking a nitrox class.
My husband and I are researching starting to work on DM certification.

2007 was a fun & rewarding year:
- Achieved my Divemaster certification
- Returned every diver to the boat who I took with me
- 200th dive
- Swam with a whale shark in Utila
- Survived the adventure of US -> San Pedro Sula -> La Cieba (by bus) ->
Utila (by ferry) and back speaking only combat spanish (me espanol es muy
mucho malo!)
- Made the switch to long hose & octo (from short hose & air II) and BP/W
- Managed to end the year with quite a few fun stories I can use next time
I'm out having a beer or two with other divers.

07: (Re-)certified after being out of the water for almost a decade, WITH my 18 yr old son, who finished his OW in San Diego in Feb in spite of cold water (56 deg F) and some dives with 4 ft viz. Way to go Greg!

Then, took the family to Kona for a week of diving and relaxation.

For 08: Stress and Rescue + EAN, and at least 25 dives in San Diego, and maybe off to warn water again, next Fall.

-Dive in the ocean
-Start buying my own scuba gear
-Getting my brother certified
-Try to meet two-three new dive duddies/friends
-Making a video and putting it on you tube.
-Getting involed with under water trash clean up for my local lake

In 2007 my husband and I got our OW cert in October. We bought our own equipment and just got tanks for the holidays! Next year we want to do at least 100 dives and get AOW!

I managed to get my OW, AOW, and 5 specialties in 2007. Wanted to get in 60 dives, fell 2 short at 58.

Goals for 2008 are Rescue, and 42 dives to complete 100.

I signed up for OW and did my home study.

Pool session is exactly one week away. OW checkout dives in Monterey by the end of the month.

NONE ...but then again, I didn't set any SCUBA goals for 2007.

I'm like Old Man River ...I just keep diving along !!

Goals for 2008 - Cavern check outs Feb - Spec Inst May - MSDT hopefully by August - might try to squeeze in intro to cave. Making East Atlanta divers the best dive shop east of Atlanta
