Thanks all...I will work to adjust it once again (DIR legal) this weekend and post my success/failure. Really appreciate the input.

Jon

Well, I got a chance to play with the adjustment and, as it turns out, Meng-Tze had it right...I needed to loosen the opposite side of the harness to allow the whole thing to shift into place. It still slid a little...but this time on my RIGHT shoulder...meaning that there is hope to dial it in perfectly. So no chest strap, crossed straps or shoulder pads required.

Also, this should calm the perception that I was the "Hunch Back of Norte Dame" (spelling?).

Now, does anyone have any suggestion on solving my leather g-string diving thong problem...it seems to ride up when it gets wet...:)

Thanks for all your suggestions..."I am not an animal...."

Jon,

I notice that you are in the L.A. area.. If you are around Casino Point the weekend of 1/7 & 1/8 I'll be teaching a DIR-F class. The Saturday morning session 1/7 from around 8:00am until noon is spent fitting BP & wings so feel free to stop by and I'd be happy to fit your BP for you and you can always hang around as we fit the rest of the class so you can see how we set up the BP's.

Regards,

Losing it. Its there for two reasons 1) To hook up a scooter and 2) hold the rig down when you are at the surface (of any vertical position). It doesn't need to be real tight.

MHK,

Thanks for the offer. I am long overdue to go to Casino Point. Had no idea anyone was doing a Dir-F there! If I can make the time and get a ticket for the express I will look you up. It is a great (controlled) place to dive. I used to DM classes there for the PADI Advanced Course thru a local dive shop.

Thanks again,

Jon

Just an idea try sitting dumb bell miltary press with a little more emphusas on weaker side.

Snow Drift,

Thanks for the suggestion. I have avoided the military press (due to rotator cuff issues) but lately the old muscles and joints are feeling pretty good. I will take you up on that one...with light weights to begin. My first New Year's resolution.

I have no issues with the movement on the benchpress or curls...its just that above the shoulder move that gets me. Of course my buddies at the gym would argue my shoulder seems fine shooting a basketball (read that: "He shoots too much").eyebrow

Thanks for the tip. Happy Holidays to all.

Jon
