Saturday and Sunday-
Dutch Springs Quarry, PA
46 F
about 2.5 hours of bottom time
Finished retaking all the OW cert dives (after a 16 year surface interval) and my stepdaughter finished her OW. Everything went pretty well, especially the last navigation dive which was great fun. I did accidently follow the wrong group once off a platform, but not for long.
The nav was especially fun to get right because of the dives I did there 2 weeks ago with another noob. Dive 1, we went down to the school bus then got lost on the way back and surfaced in the middle of the quarry and swam back. Dive 2 was the same except we got lost leaving the Comet. It's a nice friendly place to get lost.

I dove the mouth of the Merrimack River, off of Hampton NH. Twas drysuit territory, and today the currents were strong. I keep telling myself I will buy a scooter for days like today. The good thing is most boaters were working.

We had three good dives where the vis varied between, 6-10' a little current and temps down to 58.
All-in-all I really had a wonderful time diving with these good people. We had a super after-dive dinner party as well!

today .... well monday, i did two dives at
Wraysbury Lake near Heathrow London
water temp 13 degrees
viz 20 cm to 2 meters
max depth 9 meters
it was great - the best thing was that I had not forgotten how to navigate over the winter :blinking:

Went to Lanai Lookout. Unhooked a turtle with about 10 feet of line and fishing crap attached.

Molasses Reef (Eagle Ray Alley) and French Reef off Key Largo. My girlfriend did her last two dives and is now OW certified! I just hung around and honed my buoyancy and frog kick. There's even hope for the helicopter turn some day...
