Hello!!!

Please help me. For my next vacations (in February) i´m looking for a destiny in Sud America or Central America taht fulfills some especifical requirements.
My husband in a “land boy”,... not diver... . On the other hand i'm fanatical of scuba diving. Thus the place must be entertained for nondivers like divers.

In addition we looked for a place that is not very expensive nor extremely tourist
(i´m from Chile)

some advice? some idea? :06:

thanks

Hmmm you can check out Belize, San Andres, Colombia, Costa Rica they all have great diving and other entertainment for the nondiving people. they are also fairly cheap.

Aren't you already in a vacation destination????

Change husbands.

Barring that? Look at Margarita Island, Venezuala. You may find the language barrier less there, as well. Unfortunately they cater to a lower level, day trip/back packer diver.

How much entertainment does "beach boy" need? "Lying around the beach" entertainment or "casino & showgirl" entertainment?

If it's the latter, also consider Nassau or Grand Bahama.

The sad fact is that there is little exceptional diving near any real entertainment. The closest you might come to that would be Cozumel, and to a different level, Cayman.

If he is easily amused and can entertain himself, look with care at Bonaire. Good to excellent diving plus safe roads for him to explore in the vehicle while you shore dive.

Doc.

Paula,

Atentamente,

Curacao:

Lots to do topside. Lots to do under water. Would strike a good balance for you and it is not terribly expensive.

Methinks she speaks Portuges, no Espanol.

Obviously, I don't speak either language very well

Curacao: The diving is great, easy and long bottom times. Frog fish, seahorses, turtles. Lot of things to do on land like caving, museums, the aquarium and others.
Better read?

Thanks for the recommendations!!! i'm taking notes for every place

I'm from Chile, so i speak spanish (SJ, sorry but i hardly understand you post :p).
My husband don' t dive because he just dont like it. i think he would be happy in every place where he can explore.

Change husbands... mmm, i think is not an option ... i just have a year as a married person. (LOL)

Gracias Cudabait, Honduras parece interesante.

I wouldn't call Belize cheap..... But if you come to San Pedro in mid-February you can scuba dive while hubby skydives onto the beach. Or maybe this isn't what you meant by "land boy" - not "air boy".......
