BBC iPlayer - How to Build...a Nuclear Submarine - Audio Described

Have a look at the above. Not a diving program, just a brief glance of divers helping fix a damaged dock gate. For me there was a bit of personal interest. This is where my dad was employed as a diver for a few years before WW2. The dock gates gave trouble back then and working on them underwater was very dangerous. BAE systems who built the submarine had an open day in about 2008. I took my children to see it. we had to apply for the visit weeks in advance so background security checks could be carried out.
