White string that came with BP&W?

I love my new BP&W that I got for Christmas.

What is the purpose of the white string that came with it? I have the hogarthian harness.

It's not "white string" it's cave line. It is the material of choice for tying bolt snaps to anything that needs one.

We purchase #24 braided nylon line (aka cave line) in 5 lbs spools. We sell this line loaded onto 75, 100, 150, 200 ft finger spools. These 5 lbs spools "feature" random lengths, in other words these spools are not continuous. That leaves us with a fair bit of random length line, when we wind a 100 ft spool, and find a "splice" at ~60 ft.

Instead of tossing these remnants we wind up short hanks of about 12 ft and include them in our harness kits.

Handy to have if you need to try on bolt snaps, etc.

Next time I revise the instructions I'll add a section on what to do with the "white string"
