Fox News reported she was scuba diving in waist deep water..swimming does sound more plausible. That such an extensive attack can occur in waist deep water is difficult to imagine. Very sad...

The news link Almitywife posted was quite detailed, sounds "credible" compared to the sketchy Yahoo report (which Fox probably used as its basis)

Just listened to an updated radio report in Victoria, Australia.

She ws most likely [almost positively] attacked by up to three sharks.

The water was very murky and as mentioned in previous posts Amity Point is regularly frequented by Tiger and Bull Sharks [many locals wont even swim there].

People in the know have suggested that the nature of the attack strongly points to it being Bull Sharks.

A really horrible occurance.

Worthwhile remembering that dogs in water very quickly attract sharks if they are in the area.

Safe diving all.

So sad! She was young. Prayers go out to the family and friends.

very sad indeed, damn tigers and bulls
