I have read many comments and posts about how to wp-dc34 leaks, usually during decompression or when you go really deep, but I usually only free dive between 30-50 feet.
So is it true that I am way more unlikely to deal with these 'leaking' issues?

Thanks !

I haven't seen those reports, unless you mean the ones discussed in http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/canon-corner/315202-canon-housing-leaks-easy-diy-fix.html In that case, I think leaking is worse when shallow, not better. When deep, the water pressure puts a lot of force on the back door, which compresses the o-ring for a better seal.

I would check any Canon housing for non-smooth mold lines in the main o-ring channel, and repair as necessary.
