I have a console with depth/compass/air pressure gauges on it. Computers are wrist mount. My jacket style BCD has the cumberband and two other much more narrow straps. The top strap has about 5 inches hanging from the snap buckle with a small D ring on it. My console has a clip added and on the boat I clip the console to this small D ring. It stays there through out the dive. It is never removed. In close and tight. There is just enough line on the strap that I can turn my SPG and read the air pressure. I can also rotate it and use the compass. It never drags or gets in the way.
